Week 8! This week, we have the first of our workshops from the [When Idea Meets Simple Technology] Series - Make an Android App. We have some new faces at SIGHT this time, as the workshop is led by Amogh, an exchange student from the University of New South Wales in robotics engineering. He's been living in Hong Kong since January this year and spends his spare time traveling, working on start-ups and playing the ukulele. |
Amogh showed us around the MIT App Inventor 2, a great way to start with App developing, Campers and students were put through their paces, from simple apps such as the "meowing kitty" to the "vaccination tracker". And of course, how could we forget the cameo from our President Prof. Tony Chan!!!! He was asking us to "go to have tea with him", we'll see if we can sneak a video out! |
